How we are keeping busy during lockdown
Just because we’re in lockdown doesn’t mean we can’t still have fun! Our residents have been getting up to all sorts of activities over the last couple of months – we’ve even celebrated a 100th birthday!
You can rest assured that the health and wellbeing of residents and staff at Old Alresford Cottage is our top priority. We are following all the latest advice issued by the government and Care Quality Commission (CQC) to significantly cut down risk. If you have any questions regarding our approach to tackling COVID-19, please feel free to contact us on 01962 734121. We are happy to answer any questions.
Talking with friends and family
With current technology, friends and family are thankfully never more than a call away! We’ve been helping residents stay connected with loved ones during this time, as we’ve sadly needed to put an end to in-person visits for the time being.
Arts and crafts
From flower arranging to painting and knitting, we’ve made sure to keep busy and active over this difficult period. Arts and crafts are a great way to keep the mind active and some of our residents have greatly enjoyed taking on new hobbies!
Over the last couple of weeks, we’ve had some truly stunning weather! Our residents definitely made the most of the sun and got out and about in our grounds to read, relax and soak up the rays. We are very lucky to have such extensive grounds for our residents to enjoy, and have been encouraging people to venture out when possible.
